Te Maioha o Mamia or ‘Mamia’

is a marae-based, culturally-grounded,

and kaupapa Māori wellbeing kāinga

for young māmā and hapū women.

Mamia is a ‘home’ of aroha, developed at Waipatu Marae and welcomes māmā and the community to be part of growing its wairua.

​

Mamia will help to nurture, inspire, respond to, and grow confident māmā to ensure thriving tamariki.

Mamia invites ngā māmā:

• Young pregnant Māori women

• Young Māori mothers

• Pregnant women & young mothers who resonate with our kaupapa

• Be located in the Hawke’s Bay area

• Whakapapa with Ngāti Kahungunu or any other iwi
