NGĀ  AMA

Te Maioha o Mamia or ‘Mamia’ is a marae-based culturally-grounded kaupapa Māori wellbeing kāinga for young māmā and hapū wāhine.

​

Mamia is a ‘home’ of aroha, developed at Waipatu Marae and welcomes māmā and the community to be part of growing its wairua.

​

Mamia will help to nurture, inspire and grow confident māmā to ensure thriving tamariki.

​

We are always looking for more volunteers (Ama) from our community.

 

Mamia invites ngā ama:

​

  • Women volunteers from the community to support, guide and empower young pregnant women and new māmā

​

  • To offer your time, patience and knowledge daily or weekly according to your availability

​

  • Be located in the Hawke’s Bay area. 

​

  • Women that resonate with our kaupapa
